From my stockroom floor to a villa in Portugal…

Right now, I’m writing this from the most villa in Faro, Portugal (this is why I’m a bit late…apparently, I’m failing at time changes). It feels surreal—and honestly, a little fancy. But I want to be clear about something:

My coaching journey didn’t start here.

It started in the most glamorous of places: the floor of my stockroom.

One hour at a time.

One question at a time.

One tiny breakthrough at a time.

At the time, I was juggling everything—two kids, a busy shop, and a lot of uncertainty about how to grow beyond the day-to-day. I didn’t need a major overhaul—I just needed someone to talk to, to process with, to help me zoom out.

That’s what coaching gave me.

And it grew from there.

From those stockroom calls, I found myself in a two-day retreat in my coach’s apartment in Raleigh. Then I made the leap and joined a mastermind group. Now, three years later, I’ve grown into the kind of business owner (and person) I never dreamed I’d become. But here’s the secret most people miss:

The growth never stops.

I’m a coach.

I have a coach.

And my coach has a coach.

Because businesses evolve. Markets shift. Priorities change. And no one—no matter how experienced—has it all figured out.

If you’ve been wondering if now’s the right time to get support in your business, here’s my take: You don’t have to wait for a retreat or a major pivot. Sometimes, it just starts with one intentional hour.

When you’re ready, I’m here for that hour.

Let’s start small—and dream big.
