I wasn’t planning to send this note today, but after that little reel I filmed on the floor of Green Roost kind of took on a life of its own… it felt right to bring you a little closer.
Before I go any further, I just need to say thank you. The response to that video stopped me in my tracks in the best way. Your messages, your love, your guesses… they reminded me why I share these things with you.
If you saw it, you already know I finally shared the story of a product idea that’s been sitting quietly in the back of my mind for sixteen years. Sixteen. Longer than my marriage, longer than I’ve owned Green Roost, longer than my entire “I guess I’m a grown-up now” era.
I tucked it away for a long time. Life was busy, the shop was thriving, the boys were tiny, and honestly… it just felt like a dream you don’t say out loud. But this past year something shifted. The right people showed up at the right time, doors opened in ways I couldn’t have planned, and suddenly this thing I’ve carried for over a decade is… real. Being made. Right now.
And friend… I’m holding the first samples in my hands.
I’m not quite ready to show you yet, but you’ll be the very first to hear when the curtain lifts. What I can tell you is this: it’s practical, it’s purpose-driven, and it reflects so much of what we’re about here. Thoughtful goods with heart behind them.
