There are only a handful of brands that have been with us since day one, but Yala is one of them. Back then, when were called Bamboo Dreams, we started with just one piece, the Sophie Wrap, which is still one of our best-selling items 10 years later.
Yala is a lifestyle brand featuring women's clothes made from bamboo and organic cotton. They offer timeless designs created for women, by women, to bring you comfortable style so you can go further. I always say, if I can get someone to try on a piece of Yala, they will go home with it. Once you slip the soft bamboo fabric on, you'll see what I mean. When we started with Yala, they exclusively sold bamboo clothing and bedding. Since then, they've expanded into organic cotton, cotton and recycled polyster blends and Alpaca knits.
Right now, my favorite organic cotton piece is the Evan Perfect Tee. There's a reason it's called perfect...the scooped hem is super flattering, the sleeves feature thumb holes and the fabric is incredibly soft.
As for the classic viscose from bamboo knit, the Mia Dress is always a favorite (the black dress I'm wearing in the main picture). We've sold this dress for years and it looks great on just about anyone that tries it on. It's an a-line, relaxed fit dress that hits perfectly just above the knee. It pairs perfectly with a pair of sandals for summer or with the Nellie leggings and boots for Fall.
One of the best features of the bamboo knit is it travels brilliantly. It folds down super small and when you unfold it and hang it up the wrinkles fall right out.
